    The Met’s Management Issues

Sports teams today are definitely not what they used to be. Today, there is definitely an increased focus placed upon providing an incredible appeal that allows for a very solid showing of not only athleticism, but also an incredible showing of rumor mills and an incredible word of mouth that seems to get larger by the minute. Players are often in the news as their indiscretions are aired publicly and often without remorse. There is also the fact of some players being expelled from teams and even some that are not having as great a season as they should, all seeming to make front page news. It seems we hold these people at higher standards and expect much more from them, compounding the situation and making things all that much worse in the matter. With all this hype, it seems we often forget to label the coaches and bring them under scrutiny which many feel should be done more often, providing for a sounding board of what could yet come out of some of the messes out there.

The Mets recently have had their team managers come under fire with a not so great preseason and season end. Of course, Jerry Manuel is a very passionate manager and loves the sport yet there are some that feel he is not doing a terrific job and needs a little revamping. Today, we are seeing quite a rich offering of incredible and more trendy arguments of truly needing to see a little more restraint and commitment from the coaching and managerial staff overall.
